I personally don’t think Jesus would preach of war and killing people in his name (with a cross). This kind of shook me up overall. It’s like everything I knew was possibly some misinterpretations. But at the same time, I am happy since I have now found Jesus (for real). And the silver lining is that if we’re to be honest with ourselves, I don’t think Jesus would be known to us at all today if the Gospel of Thomas was presented to the people at the time. So at least today we all know that there was a human who lived 2,000 years ago who was the most perfect human who has lived and is a divine Spirit, resurrected with the Father (through the Holy Spirit). So, we can now rediscover his true lessons. And it feels like I’ve finally connected to my Holy Spirit. I didn’t feel any different in Grade 5 when a Bishop waved his hands, but I feel it today.
