Hi everyone. I want to start off by saying I do not mean this to be ‘edgy’ or anything like that Mama Needs Coffee Lots And Lost Of Coffee Malenficent Shirt. I come from a catholic background, was an alter boy for many years, and I did still go to church for a few years after moving out of my parents’ house. But over time I drifted away, and if I’m to be honest, I was probably always more of an agnostic and was just going through the motions as a parishioner.
2020 and 2021 so far have been quite the stressful time for me, so I ended up doing a lot of soul searching. And even before these past few years, I never identified as an atheist. I’ve never believed that there is no god, I just wasn’t sure who/what he is. I watched a lot of detailed videos on Genesis, and it’s been a real eye-opener to see just how much deep wisdom is in there. From Adam and Eve’s story likely meaning the first primates who became conscious, and that is the birth of Good and Evil since animals that are not conscious are only acting on their instincts, so they do as they do. But us conscious humans can chose to do good things, and we also know how to do evil; we know what can hurt ourselves physically, and as a conscious being we know that if we do the same to another human, it will hurt them physically just like it hurts us.

Cain and Able, Noah, and the whole Abrahamic story has so many truths about our life as humans on the earth, the fact we need to live in a Mama Needs Coffee Lots And Lost Of Coffee Malenficent Shirt and with nature as our beautiful, but also dangerous neighbour essentially, but it also sustains us. And that helped me a lot, and it rejuvenated my interest in things biblical.
For Jesus, I always had a hard time truly believing in Him since he seemed a bit too much like superman. Walking on water, multiplying bread and fish, casting demons and such. And I guess growing up I thought the onus was on his physical resurrection, which again a bit hard to really believe in (for myself). And well, as you can tell from the post title, I did stumble onto the Gospel of Thomas. I read through it, and not just the 114 gospels on their own, but I read through a 300+ page book where I believe the author did a good job and was as honest as he could be when discussing each of the gospels. And I feel like he is genuine, and not with ulterior motives sort of thing.
